Advising and representing the interests of the administrative body (respondent) in connection with arbitration proceedings in London (in accordance with the Rules of the International Chamber of Commerce) regarding breach of contractual obligations.

Represented the interests of the respondent, a major infrastructure company, in a case concerning the recovery of damages related to the illegal use of land for road construction - won the case.

Represented the respondent in adjudication (summary arbitration) in accordance with the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce regarding a matter related to the restructuring of one of the leading financial groups in Kazakhstan.

Successfully defended the interests of a major Kazakhstani publication in a judicial proceeding concerning the accusation of disseminating information that tarnishes honor, dignity, and business reputation.

Successful representation of the plaintiff’s interests regarding the challenge of a tax audit act on the reassessment of VAT in the amount exceeding 900 million tenge.

Provided legal support in negotiations and drafting a complex of credit documents within the framework of a syndicated loan amounting to over $4 billion USD for the operator of a major infrastructure project in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Orungazy Dzhaboldinov began his professional career in 2001 as a lawyer in the small and medium-sized enterprise development project “Pragma Corporation.” In 2002, he joined the legal team of the international law firm “McLeod Dixon LLP” as a lawyer, and then headed the legal support department for investment projects with foreign participation at the “Investment Fund of Kazakhstan” for three years. Orungazy was also a member of the board of directors of “Shalkiya Zinc N.V.” (a company listed on the London Stock Exchange) and the director of the legal department of “PL Global Pte Ltd.”

He also taught part-time at KIMEP and the Kazakh State Law University.
